Playwrights:

Origin Theatre Company welcomes literary submissions from any playwright. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, or any other characteristic protected by law.

If you would like to invite a Origin staff member to come see a reading, workshop or production, please send invitations to “literary at womensproject dot org”. We receive many requests and are only able to attend a limited number of events.

If an appropriate opportunity arises, then we may contact you to set up a portfolio review/meeting. Submissions may not responded to unless we have an opening.

Actors:

Origin is signatory to a collectively bargained agreement with Actors’ Equity Association. Origin auditions AEA actors through agent submissions. Origin also conducts one Equity Principal Audition for each mainstage production. If you’d like to be considered for a role in an upcoming production and are a member of Actors’ Equity, please find the casting call notices posted at AEA.
